Jean-Claude Kennedyof Wyalusing, PA passed away at the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
Jean was born on May 28, 1947 in Saint Marc Les Étroits, in Quebec, Canada. He was the oldest child of Willie Kennedy (d. 1984) and Julienne Ouellet Kenedy of Quebec, Canada.
He was born and raised in Canada and when he was 18, he moved to Maine to find employment in the Logging Industry. His career moved him to Cortland, NY with Lionel Couture Logging. It was in Cortland where he met the love of his life, Patricia France, whom he married on June 26, 1976. Jean and Pat would move to Pennsylvania in 1986 and he continued logging with Herb and John Preston. In 2006 he began working with his son-in-law, Brian and grandson, Jacob at Carr Logging.
Jean was very hard working and worked long hours. In his spare time, he went to breakfast with the guys and socialized on Sundays. He also enjoyed watching racing. He loved to watch his grandchildren with their activities, especially watching baseball.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Patricia Kennedy; his oldest daughter, Sherry Belcher and her children, Ashley Evans, Jaycey Evans, and Kayla Belcher; his middle daughter, Theresa Hoover and her husband, Scott, and their children; and his youngest daughter, Danielle Carr and her husband, Brian, and their children, Jacob Carr and Clayton “CJ” Carr; and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Lucille Kennedy, Ronald Kennedy (France), Rinette Beaulieu (Marcel Morin), Yvon Kennedy, and Leanne Viel (Marcel) all of Saint Marc du Lac Long in Quebec, Canada, as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his father he was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Oneil Beaulieu and Jacques Belanger.
Abiding by Jean’s wishing no services will be held at this time.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Jean’s name to the Wyalusing Valley Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 86, Wyalusing, PA 18853
