Jean Frances Fitzgerald Wunderle, age 72, passed away Wednesday morning, March 23, 2016 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Jean has lived at the Personal Care Home at Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital for the past four years and previously resided in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area.

She was born on January 31, 1944 in Kingston, PA the daughter of the late Francis and Pearl Nulton Fitzgerald. She grew up in Center Moreland, PA and was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School with the class of 1962.

Jean was employed with a shoe manufacturer in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She enjoyed playing BINGO and all of the other activities at the Personal Care Home. She also liked to get her hair and nails done.

She is survived by her son Richard G. Fassett-Lynn (Jack Lynn) of Saxton, PA; her daughters Sandra Jean Hart (Peter) of Spring Lake, PA, Fay A. Ray (John) of Gainesville, GA, and Rachael L. Saxe (John) of New Albany, PA; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; her brothers Charles Fitzgerald (Barbara) of Wilkes-Barre, PA and Norman Fitzgerald of Tunkhannock, PA; her sister Deborah McAndrew of German, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Gloria Puterbaugh and long-time companion John Partach.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
