Jean Eleanor Sulpy, age 95, of Swoyersville, PA, formally of Meshoppen, PA, passed away at the River Street Manor, in Wilkes Barre, PA, early Saturday morning, October 29, 2022.

Jean was born in Newark, NJ, on February 3, 1927, the daughter of the late Louis J. and Selma Berendt Neuberger. Growing up in New Jersey, she was a graduate of the Livingston New Jersey High School.

Married on June 27, 1959 to Charles R. Sulpy Sr., they celebrated 45 years of marriage, before his passing on September 21, 2004.

Jean enjoyed her life as a housewife and homemaker for her husband and their son. In her spare time, she enjoyed the time she was with her four-legged love ones, cooking and the time she spent in her kitchen, and for the last few years the evenings she got to get Chinese takeout.

Surviving is her son and his wife, Charles R. and Mary Beth Sulpy Jr., of Swoyersville, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Beside her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Selma Steinman, and her brother, Elmer Neuberger.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday November 19, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at the Wyoming Avenue Christian Church, 881 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, PA with Pastor Dennis Gray officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at the Overfield Cemetery, in Meshoppen, PA, at a later date. Those attending Mrs. Sulpy's services are encouraged to please dress casually.
