Jeanette Marie Steele Berry Chamberlin, age 75, of Wilmot Township, PA passed away Friday morning, March 2, 2018 at the Skilled Nursing Unit at Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital.

Jeanette was born on February 14, 1943 in Blairstown, NJ the daughter of the late Howard and Ruby Martin Steele, Sr. Jeanette grew up in the Newton, NJ area, graduating from Newton High School and in September 2011 she attended her 50th class reunion. She moved to Wyalusing in 1972 and married Donald L. Chamberlin on July 7, 1973.

She was employed by Craftmaster for several years and babysat a number of area children for many years. Before moving to Wilmot Township, she and Don lived many years on the outskirts of Wyalusing Borough on Route 706. Jeannette was a member of the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Danielle Romano and grandson Corbin with whom she made her home with in Wilmot Township. She is also survived by her son, Jim Berry and his wife Lisa of Wyalusing, PA; her step-children, Ben Chamberlin and his wife Cheryl of Terry Township, PA, Donald Chamberlin and his wife Therese of Factoryville, PA and Denise Chamberlin of Meshoppen, PA; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; her brother/sister-in-laws, Eugene (Marlene) Chamberlin, Ronald (Mary) Chamberlin, David (Kathy Sweeney) Chamberlin, Audrey Snyder, Pat (Tom) Heyer, and Donna Vanderpool; her special niece Glenda McGroarty; special friends, Yvonne Robinson and Kathy Sweeney; as well as many nieces and nephews both in Pennsylvania and South Carolina that she loved as her own.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Chamberlin; her son Howard A. Berry; her grandson Tyler Donald Wood; her father Howard Steele, Sr.; her mother Ruby Vanderpool; her step-father Steven Vanderpool; her brother, Howard Steele, Jr.; her sisters and brother-in-laws, Nancy and Rich Nystrand and Pauline and Bob McKinnish; her father/mother-inlaw, Cleon and Camille Chamberlin, her nephew, Brian Chamberlin; her step-brother, Allen Vanderpool; and step-sisters, Norma Coleman and Marge Brown.

A memorial service for Jeanette will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 7:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church St., Wyalusing, PA with Reverend Dr. Barry Ballard of the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 5:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will take place at a later date at the Wyalusing Borough Cemetery.
