Obit for Jenora B. (Brown) Shatinsky, age 83

Mrs. Jenora B. (Brown) Shatinsky, age 83, of 4852 SR367, Laceyville, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, June 7, 2013 at the Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, PA after an illness.
She was born in Sayre, PA on December 15, 1929, the daughter of the late Floyd and Laura Benninger Brown, Sr.
Jenora was a graduate of Laceyville High School class of 1947. She worked at the Grange National Bank in Laceyville, PA in her younger years. She then became a homemaker for son, Bradley, and her late husband of 58 years Albert V. Shatinsky whom she married on September 5, 1953.
She was a former member, Sunday school teacher and Release Time teacher of local Churches. She enjoyed Bible study as well as gardening. She took great pleasure in visiting with her neighbors and conversing with friends on the telephone. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Surviving is her son, Bradley A. Shatinsky of Laceyville, PA, a sister-in-law and her husband, Theresa and Tom Ross of Dimock, PA, a special niece Gretta Fassett-Robins of Laceyville, PA, special cousins Charles Benninger of Towanda, PA and David and Margaret Fassett of Laceyville, PA, as well as many other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sisters and their husbands Gretta and David Holland and Floyd and Doris Brown, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning, June 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, PA with Pastor Joel Byers of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Tunkhannock, PA and her long time friend, Pastor James Wentz officiating. Interment will be in the Lacey St Cemetery in Laceyville, PA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening, June 10, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
