Jerry E. "Scoop" Crawford Jr., age 44, of Lawton, PA, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023, from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident that occurred on Thursday evening July 6, 2023, on Coburn Hill, in Transue, PA. Jerry was born in Tunkhannock, PA, on July 26, 1978, the son of Sharell L. Gibson Bates of Pontiac, IL, and Jerry E. Crawford and his step-mother Cathie Crawford, of Meshoppen, PA.

While growing up, Scoop attended the Elk Lake High School. For many years, after high school, he was employed by the gas and oil industry, and for the last 7 years, Scoop was a truck pusher, employed by Meshoppen Stone, in Meshoppen, PA.

In his spare time, he loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and boating. He loved pushing life to it's limits, and doing anything that got his adrenaline going, which included, riding his motorcycle, and driving his Camaro. For the last few years, he enjoyed the time he got to spend using his skills as a carpenter. The most enjoyable times, where when he got to go shopping, and all of the time he got to spend with his family, friends, and especially his wife and children.

Jerry attended the Bridgewater Church, in Montrose, PA, whenever he could.

Surviving beside his parents, is his wife of the last 13 years, the former Danielle C. Hunsinger, whom he married on July 11, 2009. He is also survived by his children, Trevor Crawford, and his fiancé Kaitlynn Hongach, of Springville, PA, Deziray Crawford, and Jayson Crawford, both of Lawton, PA, his sisters, Kelly (Daniel) Force, of Laceyville, PA, Katrina (Chuck) Murray, of Wyalusing, PA, his half-sisters, Shella (George) Shiffer, of Meshoppen, PA, and Stacie Fish, of Scranton, PA, a sister in law, Jamie (Ryan) Visavati, of Springville, PA, his paternal grandmother, Patricia Beach, of Meshoppen, PA, his mother-in-law, Diane Solsman, of Meshoppen, PA, his father-in-law, Ricky Hunsinger, of Lawton, PA, his best friends, Phil "PhilBilly" Solsman, of Meshoppen, PA, and Dustin Lipe, of Lawton, PA, and special nieces, Candise Visavati, Jenna Visavati, and special nephew, Ryley Visavati, Jerry is also survived by his numerous, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by is baby sister, Jennifer Lynn Crawford, who passed away on September 10, 1979.

Funeral services for Jerry, will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM, from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church St., Wyalusing, PA 18853, with Rev. Bob Kadlecik, of the Bridgewater Church officiating. Interment will be in the Overfield Cemetery, in Meshoppen, PA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home, on Thursday evening, July 13, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
