On the evening of Tuesday, March 21, 2023 the gates of Heaven opened wide to welcome home Joseph Christopher Brostoski. There waiting with open arms was his mother, Sharon Brostoski. Joey strongly battled cancer for 3 years.
Joey was born on April 16, 1974 the son of Robert J. Brostoski, Sr. and the late Sharon Thomas Brostoski (d. February 3, 1999). He was a graduate of Elk Lake High School with the class of 1993.
During high school he began mowing lawns for some spending money. He had a passion for being outdoors and the mentality to work hard. His dedication paid off, as he created his own landscaping business and in 2002 he added excavating to his craft. Joey was the proud owner of Endless Mtn. Landscaping and Excavating.
Joey was a member of the St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church the SAL of the Rought American Legion Post #510, the Meshoppen Rod and Gun Club, and the Meshoppen Volunteer Fire Co. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and took great pleasure going to Daytona and Ocean City for bike week. Joey and his buddies enjoyed hanging out in the garage working on their hotrods and bikes. He was also an avid hunter. He loved spending time with his family and friends and had a special love for his two daughters.
Joey is survived by his daughters, Keryne Brostoski (Dan) and Cassidy Brostoski both of Meshoppen and their mother, Karyn Brostoski; his father, Robert J. Brostoski, Sr. (Rosemary) of Meshoppen; his friend Shelbey King and her children, Trinity, Ryan, and Aubrey of Meshoppen; his siblings Robert J. Brostoski, Jr. (Eileen) of Belleville, IL and Laura Legg (Mark) of Friendsville, PA; and his nieces and nephews, Tyler, Bradley, Madison, Connor, Reagan, Jordan, Matthew, Natalie (Dylan), and Aiden. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the St. Joachim's Roman Catholic church with Father Patrick Albert officiating. Family and friends may call at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 8206 SR 6, Meshoppen on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Interment will take place at a later date at the St. Joachim's Cemetery.
