Julia Marie Kingston, age 97, of Laceyville, PA passed away Friday morning, February 7, 2014 at the Meadowview Senior Living Center in Montrose, PA where she had been living for the last five years.
Julia was born on November 16, 1916 in Jenks, PA the daughter of the late Harvey and Cora Carpenter Sickler.
She was a homemaker for her late husband, Andrew J. Kingston (January, 26, 1987) and their six children. She enjoyed going to yard sales. Most of all she loved to spend time with all of her family.
Julia is survived by her sons, Dale A. Kingston and his wife Judy of Jenningsville, PA and Charles K. Kingston and his wife Pam of Terrytown, PA; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughters Betty Kingston, Joyce Kingston, Alberta Williams, and Judy Sayman; her grandson Charles Kingston, Jr.; granddaughters Tina Kingston and Nancy Kingston; five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, PA with Rev. Charles Bishop of the Transue Community Church officiating. Interment will follow at the North Flat Cemetery in Laceyville, PA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
