Julia A. McFadden, age 86, of Tunkhannock, PA formally of Meshoppen, Auburn twp., Susquehanna Co., PA, passed away on Tuesday evening, May 14, 2019 at the Gardens, in Tunkhannock, PA, with her family by her side.

Julia was born on November 8, 1932, in Uncasville, CT, the daughter of the late

Stephen James and Helen Beswick White. After moving to New Jersey, Julia was a

graduate of the Dickinson High School. For a number of years, Julia was employed

with the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company. After her moving to Pennsylvania,

she would retire in 1986.

Julia was the wife of the late William Kukla. Later after moving to PA, after

her retirement, she would marry, Joseph F. McFadden on December 5, 1986.

After 30 years of marriage, Joseph passed away on September 18, 2016.

After moving to the Meshoppen area, Julia became a member of the Rought Hall

Post # 510 American Legion Auxiliary. Throughout the years she loved playing

cards, especially Canasta. And for many years she enjoyed her trips to Florida with

Joe.

Surviving are her daughters, Anna (Bruce) Overfield, of Tunkhannock, PA;

Cheryl (Tom) Salerno, of Barneget, NJ; and Jean Marie Eid, of Bayonne, NJ, and

her two sons, William Kukla, of Teterboro, NJ; and Thomas Kukla, of

Groves TX. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren,

and great great-grandchildren. Julia is also survived by a sister-in-law, Joan Marie

Coons, of Bradenton, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

Abiding with Julia's wishes there will be no calling hours, or memorial services.

It would be appreciated that those wishing make memorial donations in memory of

Julia, to the Salvation Army of the donor's choice, the St. Vincent-dePaul Soup

Kitchen, 39 E. Jackson St., Wilkes Barre, PA  18701, or to the Hospice of the

donor's choice.
