Kathleen "Kathy" L. Wutkiewicz, age 77, of Wyalusing, PA (formerly of New Jersey and Vermont) passed away Monday, February, 14, 2022 at The Gardens in Tunkhannock, PA.

Kathy was born on November 20, 1944 in Summit, NJ the daughter of the late Vincent E. (d. Sept. 4, 1999) and Eleanor Hazen Murphy (d. October 28, 2013).  She was a graduate of Ridge High School in Basking Ridge, NJ with the class of 1962.

She grew up in Basking Ridge, NJ then began her adult life in Gillett, NJ.  She and her husband, Sigmund J. Wutkiewicz (m. June 13, 1992), moved to Essex Junction, VT in 1992.  After Sigmund passed away on Jan. 11, 2013, she moved to PA to be closer to her family.

She was employed as a Receptionist at the Summit Medical Group.  She has also been a Crossing Guard.  She gained employment as a Home Health Nurse with the Morris Co. Visiting Nurse Association and retired with a hospice network in Burlington, VT.

Kathy was a member of the Meyersville Presbyterian Church, the Meyersville Grange #188, and the Jaycees wives.  She enjoyed square dancing, genealogy, and traveling.  After her retirement she set course with her husband, Sigmund, in their RV and traveled all over the country for a year.  She would collect spoons from all of the spots she visited. Kathy took great pleasure with going to her sister's classroom to help the students make Mother's Day projects.  Most of all she loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Heather Rosencrance (Matt) of Wyalusing, PA, RaeCarol Thomas (Donald) of Malta, IL, and Tom Bumby of Flanders, NJ; her step-children, Rusty Scott Wutkiewicz (Yolanda) and Kim Wutkiewicz both of MA; her grandchildren, Matthew Rosencrance, Angela Soothill (Chris), Kimberly Rosencrance, Cole Rosencrance, Joey Rosencrance, Donny Thomas, Anna Wutkiewicz, and Andrew Wutkiewicz; her great-grandchildren, Charlotte Soothill, Katy Soothill, Cheyann Thomas, Chloe Thomas, and Benjamin Rosencrance; her sister, Patricia Steege of Allamuchy, NJ; her sister-in-law, Carol Murphy of Sea Bright, NJ; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her stepson, Scott Wutkiewicz (d. 1995); and siblings, Judy Bernhardt (d. Nov. 4, 2013) and Vincent Murphy II (d. Aug. 22, 2014).

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.  Interment will take place at the Meyersville Cemetery in NJ.
