Kathleen R. Thomas, age 74, of Meshoppen, PA, formerly of Midland Park, NJ, passed away Thursday evening, May 11, 2017 at The Gardens of Tunkhannock.

Kathleen was born on April 4, 1943, in Paterson, NJ, the daughter of the late Anna Viola Miller and William F. Priestner. On December 8, 1973 she married Richard "BJ" Thomas and the couple was married for 42 years until his passing on February 4, 2016. She grew up in Bergen County, NJ before retiring to Meshoppen in 2006. Kathleen was employed as an office manager for North Jersey Oral Surgeons for 34 and half years. She enjoyed quilting, reading, walking, camping, and fishing.

Kathleen is survived by her loving son, Gus Hiller Jr. (Marie) and many brothers and sisters. Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother Dennis Priestner.

Funeral services for Kathleen will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 12:00 noon, at the Meshoppen United Methodist Church with Reverend Scott Ryan of the church officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family at the Jersey Hill Cemetery.
