Kenneth L. Moyer Jr, age 60, of Wyalusing, PA (formerly of Tunkhannock, PA) passed away late Sunday evening, February 11, 2024 at Towanda Memorial Hospital.
Ken was born to Elizabeth (Perchinski) Moyer and the late Kenneth L. Moyer Sr. (d. July 28, 2002) on October 26,1963 in Muncy, PA. Growing up in Tunkhannock, he attended Tunkhannock High School and graduated with the class of 1981. After high school, Ken attended Johnson College in Scranton, PA in pursuit of an Associate Degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design and specialized in Technology. Ken graduated on June 3, 1984 with honors and as Valedictorian.
In September of 1984, Ken started his career at Arrow United in Wyalusing, PA as a Draftsman. After working for the company 38 years, Ken concluded his career as the Vice President of Engineering. Ken was a member of the Tri-County Sportsman's Club and active secretary and lifetime member of the Towanda Beagle Club. Ken also acted as the Master of Hounds for the Towanda Beagle Club AKC and UKC field trials. Ken enjoyed the arts, specifically: making instruments, drawing, woodworking, and stained glass. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Arguably, his favorite pastime was spending time with family and his dog, Maxwell.
On June 24, 1995, Ken married Deborah Konyves of Rome, PA. The two were happily married for 28 years.
Along with his wife, Deborah, Ken is survived by his daughter, Emily Moyer of Danville, PA; his mother, Elizabeth Moyer of Tunkhannock, PA; his brother, Rick Moyer of Tunkhannock, Pa; his sister, Amy Lees (Daniel) of Tunkhannock, Pa. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Gail Konyves, of Rome, Pa; his brothers-in-law, Mark Konyves, of Rome, Pa; Barry Konvyes (Patty) of Camptown, Pa; Micheal Konvyes (Rebecca) of Scranton, Pa; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church St., Wyalusing, PA on March 1, 2024 between the hours of 4:00-6:00 pm.
