Kenneth M. Valentine II (50), of Laceyville, PA, entered the kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday afternoon, August 25, 2021 while a patient at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA following a prolonged illness. Born on January 18, 1971 at Towanda Memorial Hospital, he was the son of Kenneth M. Valentine and the late Martha Fassett Valentine Boice. Along with his mother, Kenneth was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Merre Valentine of Laceyville, PA; maternal grandparents, William Fassett and Ella Fassett Cole of Laceyville, PA; and a goddaughter, Samantha (Owen) Carlin.
He attended Wyalusing area schools graduating with the class of 1989. He was very involved in playing drums and singing in several local Country-Western bands including: Queen of Hearts Band, Mel and the Drifters, Gary and the Bandits, Ed Fassett and the Outlaws, and Arise, the church band at New Hope Ministries in Laceyville. He also loved to ride his Honda three-wheeler, sit by the fire on a beautiful night, geocaching, and playing video games. Kenneth is survived by the following: his wife, Zabrina (Rogo), with whom he celebrated 29 years of marriage with on August 22, 2021; his children, Lester Valentine of Laceyville, PA, Danica Valentine of Herrickville, PA; and godson, Kyle Owen. Kenneth is also survived by his father and step-mother, Kenneth and Mary Valentine of Forkston, PA; step-father, Stephen Boice of Sugar Run, PA; sister, Ladonna Martin of Bloomsburg, PA; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.
A Celebration of Life for Kenneth will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM from New Hope Ministries, 1575 SR 367, Laceyville, PA 18623 with Pastor Tim Barnett officiating. Calling hours will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to defray the costs of his care and funeral expenses. Donations can be sent to Pastor time Barnett in c/o New Hope Ministries, 1575 SR 367, Laceyville, PA 18623.
