Kevin A. Parkhurst, age 28, of Rome, PA passed away Monday evening, January 18, 2016 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA after complications from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in October 2015.

Kevin was born on March 31, 1987 in Scranton, PA the son of Ralph E. Parkhurst, III of Rome, PA and Donna Kintner Ferry of Towanda, PA. He was a graduate of Wyalusing Valley High School with the class of 2006 and attended the Northern Tier Career Center where he obtained his Mechanic Certification.

He was employed with the Exel Warehouse in Tunkhannock, PA. He was previously employed as a Mechanic with the Steve Shannon Tire & Auto Center in Towanda, PA.

Kevin married Kimberly Everett Parkhurst on July 21, 2014. He thoroughly enjoyed working on cars. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Kimberly Everett Parkhurst of home; his children Riley Parkhurst and Roark Frey of Laceyville, PA; his step-children Kendra Jones and Khloe Jones of Rome, PA; his siblings Nichole Heckman and her husband Christopher of Towanda, PA, Jamie Parkhurst of Rome, PA, and Ryan Sonnay of New Jersey; his sister-in-law Jennifer Manning of Carbondale, PA and her children Kaylee Everett and Kylee Howells of Carbondale, PA; his special friend Brian Thompson of Rome, PA; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 4:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, PA with Reverend Dolly Tarreto of the Skinner's Eddy United Methodist Church officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
