Kimberly "Kimi" Ann Davis, age 53, of Wyalusing, PA passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, PA.
Kimi was born on January 29, 1965 in Towanda, PA the daughter of Carol Repsher Furman (Jim) of Terrytown, PA and Clarke Davis of Wyalusing, PA. She was a graduate of Wyalusing Valley High School with the class of 1983. In high school she was a standout softball player and received numerous awards, including "Player of the Year" during her senior year.
She was a member of the Rought Hall American Legion Post# 510 Auxiliary. Kimi was a sports enthusiast. She thoroughly enjoyed cheering her teams on, including the Denver Broncos, the New York Yankees, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Colorado Avalanche. She was an avid movie watcher and book reader especially horror movies and books. In fact, she wrote reviews on horror movies for Hammer Studios. She loved to teach her nieces and nephews her softball playing skills. Kimi was very family oriented and kept peace within the family. She loved celebrating holidays with her family especially Christmas and fall holidays.
Kimi was employed with Taylor Packing/Cargill Beef for 15 years before her illnesses forced her to retire in 1998. She also was employed part-time with the US Postal Service.
Kimi is survived by her wife, Carol Bruno-Davis, who she married on December 29, 2014; her mother, Carol Rephser Furman and her husband Jim of Terrytown, PA; her father, Clarke Davis, of Wyalusing, PA; her step-mother, Kathy Davis of Philadelphia, PA; her brother, Scott Davis and his wife Jeanie of Athens, PA; her sister-in-law, Casey Davis of Tunkhannock, PA; her nieces and nephews, Olivia Davis of Athens, PA, Casandra Valdez of Tunkhannock, PA, Brandon Davis of Colorado, Dylan Davis of Tunkhannock, PA, Michelle Michaels (Sean) of Tunkhannock, PA, Taylor Davis (Carl Weber) of Tunkhannock, PA, Sean Davis of Tunkhannock, PA, and Kaitlyn Davis of Tunkhannock, PA; she is also survived by her four-legged baby, Abbey, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Davis.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church St., Wyalusing, PA with Pastor Dick Camp officiating. Interment will follow at the Wyalusing Borough Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
