Obituary

"To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die." Thomas Campbell

Larry Westbrook, 61 of Wyalusing passed away peacefully on Easter morning, March 31, 2024 at home with his loving wife at his side.  He was born July 1, 1962 in Towanda PA the son of the late Joseph Elijah Westbrook (June 13, 1991) and Donna Kay (Porter) Westbrook (December 14, 2022).  After attending Northeast Bradford High School, Larry spent 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. He was employed at Rynvelds, Reems Manufacturing, doing auto body work, Taylor Packing, Fenton Welding, Bernice Mines, and found his passion being a self-employed carpenter and handyman until his health declined.

Larry met his soul mate, Lynn in 1991, and they were married on August 24, 1996. Together they shared a happy life starting in New Albany and for the last almost 10 years outside Camptown.  You rarely saw one without the other.

Larry loved the outdoors. He enjoyed making jewelry, creating gem trees, woodworking, building wind chimes, reading, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and watching sunsets at the Marie Antoinette Lookout.  In younger years you could find he and his wife camping or canoeing/rafting on the Susquehanna River.  Larry will be remembered for his easy going attitude, friendly demeanor, artistic abilities, big heart, and willingness to help whenever possible.

He was a member of the Kellogg Mountain Rod & Gun Club and the Towanda AmVets Post #187.

He leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Lynn at home, sister, Tammy (Harry) Bailey, Canton, PA, brothers, Randy (Missy) Westbrook Laceyville, PA, Dennis (Kim) Westbrook Levittown, PA, brothers-in-law, Charles (Julie) Ingham, Wyalusing, PA, John Ingham (Vicki Schley) South Williamsport, PA, Lyall (Cindy) Brink, Rome, PA, sister-in-law, Jeanne (Tony) DeRemer, Laceyville, PA, many nieces, nephews and extended family, and their adventurous husky, Marley.
