Obituary
Lawrence "Larry" J. Rosencrance, age 62, of Towanda, PA passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 3, 2017.
Larry was born on March 30, 1955 in Scranton, PA the son of Sally Bartron Rosencrance of Laceyville and the late Dale E. Rosencrance, Sr. (d. September 19, 1985). He was a graduate of Wyalusing High School with the class 1973.
He was employed as a Press Operator for Jeld-Wen (formerly Masonite and Craftmaster) in Towanda, PA for over 43 years before retiring last year.
Larry was highly involved in sports. He enjoyed playing basketball, softball, and volleyball. He liked to watch football, especially the Philadelphia Eagles. He took great pleasure in taking joy rides in his motorcycle or jeep. Larry listened to all kinds of music although his favorite was Bob Dylan. He loved to spend time with his family. He looked forward to visiting his mother every Sunday and playing with his grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his children, Jeremy Rosencrance and his wife Sam of Towanda, PA and Becky Leach and her husband Blake of Seattle, WA; his grandchildren, Alainah and Sydney Rosencrance of Towanda, PA; his mother Sally Bartron Rosencrance of Laceyville, PA; his siblings Matt Rosencrance (Heather) of Wyalusing, PA, Patrick Rosencrance (Julie Dennis) of Laceyville, PA, Mabel Hotaling (Les) of Wyalusing, PA, Eilene Sullivan (John) of Chula Vista, CA, Annie Rosencrance (Brian Sands) of Laceyville, PA and Mary Robinson (Jason) of Laceyville, PA; his aunts and uncles Billie and LeRoy Chilson of Towanda, PA, Barry and Peggy Rosencrance of North Carolina, and John Bartron of Tunkhannock, PA; his special niece, Amelia Hotaling; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Besides his father his was preceded in death by his brother, Dale "Pete" E. Rosencrance (d. June 23, 1992).
A memorial service for Larry will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church St., Wyalusing, PA with Father Joseph Manarchuck of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Anthony's Cemetery in Stowell, PA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday for 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Larry's name to the St. Anthony's Cemetery Association, c/o Pete Hatton, 194 Crow Hill Road, Wyalusing, PA 18853.
