Lawrence W. (Banana Man) Salsman, age 59, Meshoppen, PA. was called to his maker, unexpectedly on Wednesday morning August 20, 2014 at his home in Auburn twp., Susquehanna Co., PA. He had lost is battle with his long time illness.

Larry was born at the old Tyler Hospital in Meshoppen, PA. on December 12, 1954 the son of the late Eldon and Bethel Salsman.

He loved spending time with his many friends, loved fishing, listening to music, and playing his X-Box, Larry was also an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

Besides his parents, Larry was also preceded in death by his step-mother Eleanor Salsman; and his sister, Cindy Winters. He was survived by the love of his life, Beth Bradley of Auburn twp., Meshoppen, PA.; his son, Sean Gassner of Florida; a granddaughter; and his siblings; Darrel, of Laceyville, PA.; Mark and his wife Tracy, of Meshoppen, PA; Trudy of New York; Michelle of Buffalo, NY; Denise of Wyalusing, PA.; Twin Brother, Jerry, of PA; Tony of PA; and Bradley of Laceyville, PA., his nephew, Jonathan Vogel, of Meshoppen, PA., and his best friend Kathy Visavati, of Springville, PA. as well as many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon, August 24, 2014 at 3:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 8206 SR6, Meshoppen, PA. with Rev. Timothy Barnett of the New Hope Ministries of West Auburn, PA. officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at a later date. Family and friends may call at the funeral home, one hour prior to the time of the service on Sunday afternoon.
