Lorraine Taber Murnane, age 83, of Wyalusing, PA,  passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 in her home.

Lorraine was born on March 7, 1935 to Val D. and Tiny Lorraine (Teague) Taber in Martinez, CA. Most of her younger years growing up in Modesto, CA. She spent some time in San Francisco, CA and Reno, NV before settling in Las Vegas, NV where she lived for 35 years.

Lorraine spent her years in Las Vegas working for Sprint telephone company. It was in Vegas that Lorraine met Bobbi Keeler Lord. Bobbi brought Lorraine to her home in Wyalusing for a visit. In 1996, when Lorraine retired from Sprint, she moved to Wyalusing and became a loved member of the community. Her first year in Wyalusing, Lorraine worked with Bobbi's sister, Sherri Keeler-Schreier, at her shop, Keeler's Clothier. Later, when Keeler's Clothier closed Lorraine worked with Bobbi and Sherri in their shop, Brewed Awakening and PerNickety Gifts. She also worked for several years at Westover's Florist.

During her 22 years living in Wyalusing, Lorraine was a member of the Greater Wyalusing Chamber of Commerce and the Wyalusing Rainbow Club. She served as treasurer of both those organizations for many years. Lorraine also served for some time as the Wyalusing Borough Electoral Judge. Lorraine's hobby and passion were flowers. Her flower beds and gardens occupied her time throughout the spring and summer and into the fall. It's while working in her flower beds that Lorraine met and talked with so many of her neighbors.

She is remembered as a loving, kind and giving person. In the winter months Lorraine filled her time with 'coloring books' and has left a bounty of beautiful pictures she completed.

She is survived by her niece, Kimberly Carrico, her great nephew, Scott Chance Carrico and his wife, Areceli; nephews Mike, Jerry, Jack and Marcus Carrico, and great niece, Brandy, daughter of Mike Carrico. Also surviving Lorraine is her step daughter, Laura Pulido, grandchildren Jessica Pulido, Antonio Pulido, Alicia Luz and her husband, David, and great grandchildren, Aiden and Catalina Luz. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents as well as her sister, Aloha Carrico; her brother, Val D. Taber, Jr.; and her best friend, Bobbi Keeler Lord.

A memorial service for Lorraine will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11:30 AM from the Moxie Community Church with Reverend Michael MacWhinnie officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
