Louise Ann Norton, age 73, of 3684 Steam Mill Hollow Rd, Laceyville (Silvara), PA passed away on Friday afternoon, October 11, 2013 at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, PA.

Louise was born on December 6, 1939 the daughter of the late Allie and Gladys Kithcart Heeman, Sr.

She was a graduate of Wyalusing High School with the class of 1957.

After high school Louise worked as an Office Manager for the Lander Company in Binghamton, NY for 40 years before retiring in 1999.

Louise was an active member of the Silvara United Methodist Church. She took great pleasure in traveling all over the United States with her husband, Phillip Norton. She also enjoyed gambling with her husband. Most of all she loved her family and cooking for about 30 family members every Sunday.

Louise is survived by her husband, Phillip G. Norton, whom she married on May 6, 1960; her children Phyllis L. Brown (Terry) of Mehoopany, PA, Allen E. Norton (Kimberley) of Newark Valley, NY, Penni S. Pilch (Ronald) of Laceyville, PA, Cathy M. Johnson (Randy) of Laceyville, PA, and Jennifer L. Norton of Silvara, PA; her daughter-in-law Kimberlee G. Norton of Wilmot Twp., PA; her grandchildren Gregory C. Liddick, Michael P. Liddick (Lindsay), Emily J. Norton, Kelsey L. Norton, Marley M. Norton, Zane David Pilch, Kimberly Ann Pilch, Bridget L. Kelly (Brian), Christopher L. Norton (Brandy), Jared "J.J." Johnson (Lacey Mosher), Aaron P. Johnson (Jill Van De Mark), Kailee E. Norton, Evan R. Norton, Karley R. Norton, Karissa Allie Brown, and Dalton Phillip Brown; 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way; her siblings Barbara Osterhout of Susquehanna, PA, Allie "Sonny" Heeman, Jr. of Silvara, PA, Melvin Heeman (Jeanne) of Spring Hill, PA, Sharon Slater (Charlie) of Laceyville, PA, and Edward Heeman (Margie) of Endwell, NY; her sisters-in-law Judy Heeman of Newark Valley, NY, Beverly Casselbury of Montrose, PA, and Vera Love of South Auburn, PA; brother-in-law Bill Norton (Shirley) of Great Bend, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son John R. Norton (January 17, 2012) whom she missed dearly, her nephew Duane "Duff" Heeman, her sister and brother-in-law Beverly and Gerald Brown, and brother and sister-in-law Robert and Clara Heeman.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, PA with Rev. Richard Card of the Silvara United Methodist Church officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM.
