Maria M. Williams, age 81, of Wyalusing, PA, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Wyalusing Personal Care Home.

Maria was born on July 3, 1936 in Mannheim, Germany, the daughter of the late Karl Reichert Sr. and Paula Heckmer Reichert. She graduated from high school in Mannheim. Maria met her husband, Robert Williams, while he was stationed in Germany. The couple was married in June of 1959 and they were married for over 50 years until Robert's passing on December 19, 2009.

Maria worked as a cleaning lady at the Wyalusing Post Office for over 20 years. She and her husband delivered for Meals on Wheels for a number of years. They enjoyed traveling together especially to Arkansas to visit her sister and Gananoque, Canada for fishing trips. Maria also liked to go shopping with her close friend Hannelore Brown.

In regards to Maria's wishes there will be no funeral services.

Maria is survived by her daughters Ruth God and her husband Charles of Sugar Run, PA and Anna Lavoie and her husband Richard of Westminter, MA; grandson Cory Jayne of Lancaster, PA. Besides her parents and husband, Maria was preceded in death by her sisters Margaret Kellogg; Crista Slodeck; Irma Reichert; her brothers Karl Reichert Jr.; and Earnst Reichert.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Bradford County Humane Society, PO Box 179, Ulster, PA 18850.
