Marilyn  Vandervort, age 71, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022.

She was born in Binghamton, NY on January 8, 1951, the daughter of the late Anita Patschke Vandervort (d. August 23, 1996) and Charles Vandervort (d. January 20, 1994).  Marilyn attended Wyalusing Valley High School until the 10 ^th grade before attending Blue Mountain Academy, a Seventh Day Adventist School, and graduated in 1968.  She attended Columbia Union College for one year in 1969 where she would study flying and earn her pilot's license.

Marylin worked as a Steel Estimator during her long career.  When she wasn't working, Marilyn loved flying, horseback riding, and boating.  She also enjoyed saltwater fly fishing and taking her dogs to dog shows.

She is survived by her brother Ronald Vandervort, her Uncle Charles and Aunt Christine Patschke, and five cousins and their families.

Funeral services for Marilyn will be held at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 459 Main St., Laceyville, PA 18623 on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 1:00PM with Pastor Thomas R. Cusak of the Tunkhannock Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating.  Interment will take place at the Lacey St. Cemetery following the service.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
