Marion C. Inman, age 81, of Mehoopany, PA (Farr Hollow) passed away on Tuesday afternoon, December 25, 2012 at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, PA following an illness.
She was born in Mehoopany, PA on January 17, 1931 the daughter of the late Daniel C. (1999) and Mildred Arnts Decker (1986).
She was a 1949 graduate of Mehoopany High School and a 1951 graduate of Keystone Jr. College, after which she was employed as a Medical Secretary for Dr. McCorkle in Mehoopany. On March 21, 1953 she married Ralph C. Inman. They owned and operated the family dairy farm until their retirement. Her husband of 55 years passed away on November 5, 2008.
She was a member of the Transue Community Church, a former Sunday School teacher at the Mehoopany and Jenningsville United Methodist Churches and a member of their United Methodist Women's Group. She loved to quilt and do various crafts. She also enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play ball. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Charles Bishop of Jenningsville, PA; two sons and their wives, Dennis and Barbara Inman of Mehoopany, PA and Daniel and Diane Inman of Tunkhannock, PA; her grandchildren Dennis Inman of Santa Monica, CA, Noreen Inman of Mehoopany, Ashley Inman of Tunkhannock, and Miranda Connelly and her husband Sean of Etters, PA; great granddaughter, Reagan Elizabeth Connelly of Etters; sisters and brother-in-laws Eloise and Robert Day and Margaret and Robert Thompson of Mehoopany; sister-in-law Doris E. Stone of Athens, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon, December 30, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, PA with Rev. Charles Bishop of the Transue Community Church officiating. Interment will follow at the North Flat Cemetery in Laceyville. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday evening, December 29, 2012 from 6:30-8:30 PM.
