Marion L. Johnson, age 59, of Remington Rd., Tunkhannock, PA (Russell Hill), passed away at the Celtic Hospice of South Wilkes Barre Geisinger, in Wilkes Barre, PA., on Saturday afternoon, June 18, 2016.

Marion was born in Sayre, PA, on May 2, 1957 the daughter of Betty I. Hoover Johnson, with whom she lived with on Russell Hill, and the late Theodore Johnson.

Growing up in the Tunkhannock area, Marion attended the Tunkhannock High School.

For over 9 years, she was employed at Cargill, in Wyalusing, PA, a place where she loved to work, and her co-workers she loved to be surrounded with every day. In her spare time, Marion loved to fish, spend time in the outdoors, mowing her lawn, tending to her garden, especially in her vegetable garden; but most of all spending special time with her family.

Surviving besides her mother, are her children, her son, Jeremy Johnson, of Tunkhannock, PA and her daughter, Wendy and her husband Sherwood Brown, of Tunkhannock, PA, and her grandchildren, Seth Brown, Cole Johnson, and Sydney Brown. She is also survived by two brothers, Ronald (Marilyn) Johnson, of Shavertown, PA; Clifford (Sue) Johnson, of Dalton, PA; and her sister, Joan (Carl) Brown, of Webster, Mass., along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her father, she preceded in death by a brother, Earl Johnson who passed away on December 31, 2000; and a sister, Martha Johnson, who passed away on Jan. 2, 2008.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, PA with Rev. Charles Bishop, of the Transue Community Church officiating. Interment will be in the North Flat Cemetery in Laceyville, PA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home, on Thursday evening, June 23, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
