Marjorie C. Birmingham DeLuca, age 87, of Wyalusing, PA and Lantana, FL passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Delray Medical Center, Delray, FL.

She was born on June 8, 1928 in Staten Island, NY the daughter of the late William F. and Elizabeth Byrnes Birmingham. After high school Marjorie graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelors Degree in Education. She was employed with the Bayonne School District in New Jersey for many years.

Marjorie and her late husband, Neil G. DeLuca who she married on June 13, 1959 lived in New Jersey while they were employed then moved to the Wyalusing area in the late 1960's.

She was a member of the St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church. Marjorie loved to go watch movies.

Marjorie is survived by her son Dr. John DeLuca of West Palm Beach, FL; her nephew Clifford Birmingham and his wife Cathy of Flanders, NY; and her sister-in-law Audrey Birmingham of Woodhaven, NY. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 39 years, Neil G. DeLuca on April 20, 1998; her brother William Birmingham; and her brother and his wife Robert and Diane Birmingham.

Funeral services on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Homes, 155 Church St., Wyalusing, PA with Father Joseph Manarchuck of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parrish officiating. Interment will follow at the Lime Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 until the time of the service.
