Martha Jane Rought Wildrick, age 78, of Stevensville, PA passed away on Sunday afternoon, December 10, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Martha was born on October 25, 1939 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Armitage Rought.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the fact she was able to spend time with her two newborn great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, and playing Rummy. She also took pleasure in listening to country/western music, watching country/western movies and soap operas. She took great pride in raising her children.
Martha is survived by her husband of 53 years, Myron Wildrick of Stevensville, PA, whom she married on June 13, 1964; her children Barbara Franklin and her husband Dennie, Sr. of Stevensville, PA and David Wildrick and his wife Tammy of Stevensville, PA; her grandchildren, Pamela (Jeremy) Casselbury of Stevensville, PA, Sally Wildrick of Rome, PA, Erika (Ryan) Strope of Rome, PA, Jessika (Ira) Yoder of Warren Center, PA, Jennifer (Tyler) Vandyke of Ridgebury, PA, and Dennie (Kaitlyn Vandyke) Franklin, Jr. of Stevensville, PA; her great-grandchildren, Vanessa Gonzalez, Briana Casselbury, Joshua Casselbury, Oaklyn Vandyke, and Grayson Strope; her brother, Sonny Rought and his wife Gloria of Laceyville, PA; her twin sister, Margaret Ball of Wyalusing, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Donald Wildrick (d. January 9, 2009), and brothers and sisters, Ruth Chilson, James Rought, Jack Rought, and Joyce Cintron.
Funeral services for Martha will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 8:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Homes, 459 Main St., Laceyville, PA 18623 with Reverend Charles Bishop of the Elk Lake and Transue Community Churches officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 6:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Terrytown Cemetery.
