Mary Bunnell, age 98, of Willow Brook in Clarks Summit, South Abington Township, Lackawanna County, PA passed away early Thursday morning, January 15, 2015 at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, PA. She was formerly of Meshoppen, PA for many years.

Mary was born on January 26, 1916 the daughter of the late Xavier Harry and Louise Juzwiak. She married John Joseph "JJ" Bunnell, who passed away on October 13, 1989, and together they had four children. Mary was a housewife and homemaker for her family for many years. She was a very devoted mother and wife as she helped her husband with Bunnell's Eggs of Meshoppen and her son, John, with his candy business also located in Meshoppen. She was a member of the St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church in Meshoppen, PA.

Mary is survived by her children Dorothy Fix of Wyomissing, PA; Charles and his wife Sandra Dee Bunnell of Meshoppen, PA; and John Bunnell of Meshoppen, PA. Also surviving are her grandchildren Heather; Stacey; Jodi; Jonathan; Matthew; Ashtin; Jeffery; Leeanna; and eight great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her son Arthur Bunnell, who passed away on May 3, 1957; brothers Frank Juzwiak and Jack Juzwiak.

Services for Mrs. Bunnell will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 8:00 PM at Sheldon Funeral Homes, SR 6, Meshoppen, PA with Father Joseph Manarchuck of the St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be held at the St. Joachim's Cemetery at a later date at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until the time of the service.
