Mary Jo White, age 62, of Troy, PA passed away on Sunday night, October 12, 2025 at the Guthrie Troy Community Hospital.

Born on February 26, 1963 in Greenville, MS, she was the daughter of the late John David White (d. Sept. 1975) and Betty Cole White (d. June 6, 1992).

Mary Jo enjoyed many hobbies including needle work and embroidery, bowling, playing computer and board games, and watching all sports, her Penn State Nittany Lions in particular.  More than anything else, she loved traveling with her sisters and really enjoyed their trips to Florida.

She is survived by her sisters, Marsha Melkonian (Dennis) of Warrenton, VA and Margie White Waltz (Mark) of Hammock Beach FL, and Eagles Mere, PA; her nephews, Michael Melkonian of Richmond, VA and Alex Melkonian (Aubrey Dueweke) of Johnson City, TN; her great nephews, Elliott and Ben Melkonian; as well as many cousins.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family with a public Celebration of Life to be held in the nicer weather of spring or summer of 2026.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Jo's name to Martha Lloyd Community Services, 66 Lloyd Lane, Troy, PA 16947, where she resided for 43 years, in loving appreciation of all the caring staff and her friends there.
