Obituary

Max H. Russick, Jr, 55, of Rush, PA passed away August 5, 2016 after a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gherig's disease) in the comfort of his home with his loving wife of 33 years, Karen Brown Russick, by his side. He was born in Sayre, PA on December 3, 1960, the son of Betty and late Max Russick, Sr.

He was an employee of Procter and Gamble, Mehoopany for 32 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing softball in his spare time. He took great pleasure in coaching Little League Baseball for his sons in Rush. He also enjoyed any type of family time, whether it was playing cards or just simply watching his granddaughters playing.

Max is survived by his wife, Karen Russick of home; his two sons, Max Russick III (Bryna Donnelly) of East Greenville, PA and Matthew Russick of Rushville, PA, his daughter MaKaya (Tim) Williams of Springville, PA, and four granddaughters, Hailey, Mya, Morgan, and Maxanna Williams.

He is also survived by his mother, Betty Russick of Tunkhannock, PA; four sisters, Darlene (Dick) Salsman, Meshoppen, PA, Gaylene Mowry (Mike Park), Retta, PA, Penny (Kevin) Stockholm, Elk Lake, PA, and Dixie Russick of Utah; sister-in-laws Connie (Dave) Lippner, Lakeland, FL, Diana (Ronnie) Schoonover, Meshoppen, PA, Laura Lee Baker, Wyalusing, PA, Mary Lou (Sam) Smith, Meshoppen, PA, and Becki Smith, Dallas, PA; brother-in-laws Alden (Virginia) Brown, Clapper Hill, PA, Tim (Sandy) Brown, Montrose, PA, Denny (Linda) Brown, Wylausing, PA. He has many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins that were all dear to his heart.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his father/mother- in-law Doris and Floyd Brown, Black Walnut, Pa, brother-in-laws Wilbert Brown, Gary Brown, David Baker, and George Smith, Clarence Williams, niece Brandi Johnson and nephew Ryan Salsman.

Funeral services for Max will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon Funeral Homes, SR 6, Meshoppen, PA with Lay Minister Vickie Ellis of the South Auburn and Beaver Meadows Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Rush Center Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Max's name to the Rush Athletic Association, c/o Jen Ramey, 31 State Route 858, Lawton, PA 18828.
