Michael T. Claupein, Sr., age 71, of Herrick Twp., PA passed away Friday, March 9, 2018.

Mike was born on October 30, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA the son of the late George and Marge Claupein, Sr.  He served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

He was employed as a truck driver for CC Allis.  He was a tremendous wood craftsman and stained glass artist.  Mike loved to hunt and golf.  He also helped volunteer for H.O.P.S. events.

Mike is survived by his wife, Louise Wisler Claupein; his son Michael T. Claupein, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Wysox; his grandchildren, Michael Zachary Claupein, Cody Claupein, and Dalton Claupein and a great-granddaughter, Mynessah Karolyn Schrimp; his siblings, Geraldine Durkin and her husband Don, George Claupein, Jr. and his wife Marge, and Fred Claupein; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Abiding to Mike's wishes there will be a private memorial service at a later date.
