Obituary
Michael "Mike" Harold Salsman, age 54, of Sugar Run, PA passed away at his parents' home Friday morning, October 24, 2014 after an illness.
Mike was born on July 10, 1960 the son of Harold C. and Janette Long Salsman. He was a graduate of Wyalusing High School Class of 1978.
Mike was employed by Chamberlin's Auto Body in Stevensville, PA as an auto body technician for over eight years. Before working at Chamberlin's he was employed by Arrow United in Wyalusing, PA for ten years.
Mike married the former Paula E. Dibble on July 28, 1990 and together they have two children Ashleen and Patrick. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing with his close friends and family. He was a man who also liked to tinker on cars in his spare time. While his son was in Little League, Mike was an assistant coach for the Wyalusing Arrow United Little League baseball team.
Mike is survived by his wife Paula of Sugar Run, PA; son Patrick of Sugar Run, PA; daughter Ashleen of Laceyville, PA; granddaughter Lillie Mae Salsman of Laceyville, PA and parents Harold and Janette Salsman of Laceyville, PA. Also surviving are his brothers Steve Salsman (Barb Cook) of Laceyville, PA; Dean Salsman (Karla) of Laceyville, PA; Tim Salsman (Michelle) of Wyalusing, PA; mother-in-law Marilyn Dibble of Sugar Run, PA and as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mike is preceded in death by infant son Blaine Michael Salsman (December 29, 1992); sister Christine Jenny Salsman Brown (April 20, 2014) and father-in-law Richard Dibble (April 26, 2014).
Funeral services for Mike will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church Street, Wyalusing, PA with Reverend Charles Bishop of the Elk Lake and Transue Community Churches officiating. Interment will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. Friends and family may call at the funeral home the same day of the service from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
