Michelle Sherwood, age 53, of Laceyville, PA passed away at the Bradford Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Troy, PA on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Born on July 5, 1973, Michelle was the daughter of Dale and Shirley Cokely Warner. Growing up in Wyoming County, she developed the caring and loving nature that would remain with her throughout her life and be cherished by those who knew her.

Michelle would go on to work several jobs after high school, but her kind and caring nature led her to her most natural fit as a Caregiver working with Allied Services. Her generous spirit also extended to those in her personal life as she was always willing to help out a friend or family member in need, often serving as a volunteer taxi driver for those who needed a ride.

She was well known for her love of animals, especially her beloved dog Benji, who is patiently awaiting their reunion after passing himself several weeks ago. When not hanging out with her devoted companion, Michelle enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling.

Along with her parents, Michelle is survived by her husband, Allan Sherwood; her children, Amber Brewer and Brandon Brewer; her siblings, Jenny Slover, Stacey Hoover, and Larry Warner; her nieces, Brianna Slover, Ashley Kmeciak, Casey Hernandez, and Wendy Hoover; her nephews, Nate Slover and Jonathan Slover; her great niece, Isabella Hernandez; and her great nephews, Lochlan Hernandez, Dakota Travers-Surprise, and Dalton Travers-Surprise.

Preceding her in death are her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and June Sherwood; and her sister-in-law, Holly Green.

A Memorial Service for Michelle will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 1:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 8206 Main St., Meshoppen, PA 18630 with Reverend Gary Myers officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
