September 11, 1953 – January 9, 2024
Mildred "Millie" E. Chamberlin, age 70, of Stevensville, PA passed away Tuesday evening, January 9, 2024 at the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital.
Millie was born on September 11, 1953 in Columbia, SC the daughter of the late George O. (d. June 6, 1993) and Dorothy M. Nafus Harris (d. January 9, 2011). She grew up in Randolph, NJ and moved to Stevensville, PA in 1970. She graduated from Wyalusing Valley High School with the class of 1972.
She was employed with Sylvania for 35 years. She worked her way up to become the Head of the Wire Department before retiring in January of 2011. She was previously employed as a Bartender at the Locust Inn in Stevensville, PA.
Millie was a member of the Wyalusing Legion Ladies Auxiliary, an Auditor for Stevens Township for many years, and volunteered as a Bell Ringer with the Salvation Army. She was one of a kind; always giving and never expecting anything in return. Everyone who got the pleasure of meeting her, instantly came to love her. Her family was her world, especially her grandkids and first great grandson. In her spare time, she enjoyed being on the go - whether it was attending sporting events, trips to the beach, casino trips with her husband, making plans with friends or outside gardening. Millie was known by her family and friends as the "Lawn Mower Queen." She also had a love for Black Friday shopping. She loved animals, especially her two best friends, her Weimaraners, Sadie and Dixie. She enjoyed taking them for runs and spoiling them.
Millie is survived by her husband, Michael T. Chamberlin, Sr., whom she married on September 19, 1992; her children, Michele Maynard (Curt) of Towanda, PA, Michael Chamberlin, Jr. of Litchfield, PA, and Annalease Donald (Seth) of Meshoppen, PA; her grandchildren, Cheyenne Learn (Kyle Bethel), Dylan and Derek Learn of Lawton, PA, Madalyn, Addison, Lillie, and Curtis Maynard, Chase and Khloe Chamberlin, Isaiah Way, and Gage Donald; one great-grandson, Coleson Bethel; her siblings, Richard Harris of Stevensville, PA, Barbara Wells (Tony) of Pine Hill, NJ, Margie Masino (Ted) of Bud Lake, NJ, and Shirley Whalen (Cal) of Camptown, PA; her mother-in-law, Judy Magyar of Towanda, PA; and brother-in-law, Pork Chamberlin of Stevensville, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Millie was preceded in death by her son, Joel Learn (d. April 16, 2023); her father-in-law, David Chamberlin (d. September 30, 2022); her sister-in-law, Betty Harris (d. November 26, 2021); and her brother-in-law, Bucky Chamberlin.
