Nancy Butterbaugh, age 69, of Laceyville, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 2, 2018.

Nancy was born on May 23, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of the late Calvin and Estelle Smith. Nancy graduated for the Kennsington Girls High School in Philadelphia with the Class of 1969. She was married to Lewis "Jim" J. Butterbaugh, until he passed away on August 17, 2013. She worked as technician at Proctor and Gamble for a number of years. Nancy enjoyed going to her cabin on Lake Ontario in Pulaski, New York. She loved to play BINGO and was a first-class quilter. Nancy cherished her family very much, loved spending time with them, and will be deeply missed.

Nancy is survived by her daughters Brenda Louise Smiley of New Albany, PA; Shelly Mae Dexter and her husband Andrew of New Albany; grandsons, Joseph Allen and Garrett Dexter; sisters Linda Richmond and her husband Harold of Tunkhannock, PA; Ann Hagerty and her husband Carl of Croydon, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph James Allen, who passed away on December 16, 2015.

Calling hours for Nancy will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 PM at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 459 Main Street, Laceyville, PA. Interment will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
