Nancy J. Walter, age 54, of Towanda, PA, formerly of Smith Personal Care Home in Wyalusing, PA and Skilled Nursing in Towanda, PA, passed away peacefully at the Skilled Nursing Facility at Memorial Hospital in Towanda, PA on Monday afternoon, June 2, 2014.

She was born in Sayre, PA on October 26, 1959, the daughter of William and Mary (Fassett) Walter Sr. of Towanda, PA. Nancy graduated from the Intermediate Unit #17, Towanda Center.
Nancy absolutely adored her nieces and nephews and spent time collecting pictures of her family and friends. She collected TV Guide, Soap Opera Digest, Barbie Dolls, and Porcelain Dolls. Nancy also had a denim days collection.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her siblings, William H. (Susan) Walter, Jr. of Jenningsville, PA, Darlene Ellis (Barry Reese) of Wyalusing, PA, David (Linda) Walter of New Albany, PA, Chris Walter of Wyalusing, PA, and Ethel Walter, of Wyalusing, PA; special friends Glen and Jo Anne Brink of Camptown, PA.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Nancy was preceded in death in 2013 by her brother, Stephen Walter.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Sheldon Funeral Homes, Main St., Laceyville, PA with Rev. Charles Bishop of The Transue Community Church officiating. Interment will be at the Camptown Cemetery immediately following the service. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
