Oscar "Pinky" Fassett, age 52, of Meshoppen, PA, passed away Friday morning, April 13, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family.

Oscar was born on May 22, 1965 in Meshoppen, PA, the son of the late Perle C. Fassett Sr., who passed away on October 1, 2012 and Elsie M. Fassett, who passed away on November 4, 2014. Oscar attended Elk Lake High School. Oscar worked as a maintenance planner at Proctor and Gamble for over 17 years. He also worked for Taylor Beef, now known as Cargill, on the harvest floor for 11 years.

Oscar loved to go hunting and fishing. He took numerous hunting trips to Missouri, Texas, and Canada. He also loved racing on dirt tracks. Oscar would race at Penn Can, Five Mile Point, Grandville, Thunder Mountain, Greenwood Valley, and Dunn Hill. He loved going to his cabins, one was in Little Meadows and the other was in the Adirondacks. He also loved taking his "Little Buddy", his grandson Kaysen, on tractor rides. Most of all Oscar enjoyed being around his family at cookouts and family gatherings.

Oscar is survived by his children Cody Fassett (Jessica Santaniello) of Factoryville, PA; Curtis Fassett of Meshoppen, PA; Angel Fassett of Meshoppen, PA; his grandson Kaysen "Little Buddy" Fassett of Factoryville, PA and ex-wife and caretaker Virginia Fassett. Also surviving are his brothers Perle Fassett Jr. of Lawton, PA; Harry (Latrenda) Fassett of West Auburn, PA; Jerry Fassett of Lawton, PA and his sister April Fassett of Factoryville, PA; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A viewing for Oscar will be held on Tuesday morning, April 17, 2018, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon at Sheldon Funeral Home, 459 Main Street, Laceyville, PA 18623. Interment will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
