Pamela Jean Woodruff (64)

Pamela Jean Woodruff, age 64, of Wyalusing, PA passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the Wyalusing Valley Personal Care Home.

Pam was born in Meshoppen, PA on July 7, 1958, the daughter of the late Arden (d. 2010) and Catherine Manning Bowman (d. 1982).  Growing up in the Laceyville area, Pam attended Wyalusing Valley High School where she would graduate with the class of 1976.

After high school, she would go on to work various jobs at several local restaurants, including owning her own.  She also worked at the Laceyville Discount and at the stone quarry with her husband Ralph (d. October 5, 2011).  While residing at the care home, she enjoyed assisting residents with different activities.

In her free time, Pam loved to play cards, with pitch being her favorite game to play.  She also cherished quality time spent with her friends and family, especially her son, Austin, and her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her son, Austin Woodruff of Laceyville, PA; her step-children, Glenn Woodruff of Tunkhannock, PA, Verne Woodruff of Wyalusing, PA, and Tracy Woodruff (Beth) of Wyalusing, PA; her step-daughters-in-law, Gene Anne Woodruff of Wyalusing, PA and Barb Woodruff of Terrytown, PA; her sisters, Cindy Porter (Michael) and Connie Wilson (David) of Laceyville; her nieces and nephews, Jason Bowman (Stacey) of Towanda, PA, Joshua VanDeMark (Heather) of Wyalusing, PA, Sara Mowry of Montrose, PA, Jeffrey Porter (Kim) of Wyalusing, PA, and Samuel Wilson (Kristin) of LeRaysville, PA.  Pam is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.

Aside from her husband, Ralph, and her parents, Pam is preceded in death by her brother, David, and her step-sons, Gary Woodruff, Lloyd Woodruff, and Phillip Woodruff.

A Memorial Service for Pam will be held the Sheldon Funeral Home, 459 Main St., Laceyville, PA on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 1:00 PM and officiated by Lay Minister Vickie Ellis of the Beaver Meadows Church.  Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until the time of service.  Interment will follow the service and take place at the Lacey Street Cemetery.

Pam's family would like to acknowledge and express their deep appreciation to the staff at the Wyalusing Valley Personal Care Home for the excellent care Pam received while residing there.
