Patricia Gruver, age 77 of Laceyville, PA passed peacefully on Tuesday October 29th, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.

Patricia was born in Meshoppen, PA on February 3rd, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Arthur Sr (d September 3, 2007) and Doris "Mahoney" Manning (d March 1, 2013) She was a graduate of the Wyalusing High School with the class of 1965.

Patricia was employed at the Mindy Sue Dress Factories, where she was a seamstress for many years.

While being a seamstress, Patrica was also loving mother to two boys Joseph Gruver Sr. and the late Dennis Gruver (d Dec. 19th, 2012). Patricia also loved making trips to the casino, but most importantly Patricia loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother to her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were her entire world.

Patricia is survived by son, Joseph Gruver, Sr (Hope) of Laceyville, PA; daughter- in- law, Karen Gruver; grandchildren, Hannah Wilson, Joseph Gruver, Jr, Damian Manning, Christina Gruver, Samantha Gruver, and Haylee Gruver; great-grandchildren, Amber, Gideon, Grace, Jesse, Jericho, Eva, and Ella. Patricia is also survived by siblings, James Manning, Jackie and Jerry Benscoter, and sister-in-law, Kelly Manning, along with many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and son, Patricia is preceded in death by her longtime companion George Surplus (d. February 12, 2015); sister Elizabeth "Betsy" Burridge; and brother Arthur "Buddy" Manning, Jr. (d. June 8, 2023.)

As per Patricia's wishes there will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Patricia's name to the Dementia Society of America. P.O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
