Obituary
Patricia L. Phinney, age 71, of Standing Stone Township, PA, formerly of Laceyville, PA, went home to be with her loving Lord and Savior, Saturday, December 24, 2016.
Patricia was born on December 1, 1945 in Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late Barton P. Harris who passed away on April 20, 1978, and Doris Browning Harris who passed away on July 24, 2007. She married the late Orrin "Sonny" Phinney on September 25, 1965. The couple were married for 48 years until he passed away on September 12, 2014.
Patricia graduated from the Wyalusing Valley High School with the class of 1963. After graduating high school she attended the Rochester Business Institute. Patricia was a member of the Braintrim Baptist Church in Laceyville, PA and was very active with various activities in the church. She loved spending time with her family and being active with her grandchildren.
Patricia is survived by her two daughters Lori Mislevy and her husband Darren of Tunkhannock, PA and Catherine Nicholas and her husband Nick of Tunkhannock, PA; her two grandchildren Hannah Mislevy and Ryan Nicholas both of Tunkhannock; brother Phillip Harris of San Antonio, TX; brothers-in-law Fred Phinney of Laceyville, PA and William Phinney (Lynda) of Laceyville, PA; sisters-in-law Geraldine Fassett of Tunkhannock, PA; Grace Ann Iffert of Tunkhannock, PA; Joyce Place of Kendallville, IN; Betty Charland of Laceyville, PA; Helen Valentine (Roger) of Laceyville, PA; Donna Latini of Spring Hill, PA; Janice Selbig (Dubois) of Dallas, GA; and Lois Phinney of Mehoopany, PA. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by sister-in-law Yvonne Phinney; brothers-in-law Joe Fassett; Paul Iffert; David Place; and Ernest Latini.
Funeral services for Patricia will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Braintrim Baptist Church in Laceyville, PA with Reverend Thomas Davis of the church officiating. Interment will be held at the North Flat Cemetery following the service. Family and friends may call at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
