Mr. Paul J. Cresho Sr., age 80, of Route 706, Wyalusing, PA. (Taylorville), passed away on Monday afternoon, March 2, 2015 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, with his loving family at his side.
Born on January 11, 1935 in Wayne County, PA., he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Cresho.
After his graduation from high school, Paul served his country with the US Army, serving from 1955 until his discharge in 1957, in where he was stationed in France.
From 1971 until 1997, Paul was employed by the Wyalusing Valley School District, where he was a custodian at the Wyalusing Elementary School. After his retirement from the school district, Paul was employed at the Sears Store in Wysox, PA. Before he worked with the school district he was employed at multiple dress factories in the area as a truck driver.
He was a former member of the Wyalusing United Methodist Church. He took great pleasure in mowing his yard with the riding lawn mower. More often than not the grass did not even need to be trimmed, he just wanted to get out on the tractor. He was active in his children's lives, coaching them in numerous sports. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by numerous people and he always had a huge smile for everyone.
Paul is survived by his wife of 44 years, the former Dianna K. Otis at home; his children Paul J. Cresho, Jr and his wife Tracey of Longwood, FL and Candice K. Fisher and her husband Shawne of Mayport, PA; his grandchildren Kesten, Alexis, and Niah of Florida and Skyanne and Zeldon of Pennsylvania; his sister Josephine Gitch of Bath, PA; his brother Andrew Cresho of Rhode Island; as well as many brother/sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph Cresho, Nicholas Cresho, Tony Cresho, and John Cresho, his sisters Jean Drob and Mary Anazlone, as well as his mother and father-in-law Martha and Adelbert Otis.
