Paul David Meas, 83, of New Albany, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, January 21, 2026, at the Robert Packer Hospital Skilled Care and Rehabilitation in Towanda, PA.

Paul was born on July 25, 1942, in Quakertown, PA, the son of the late Daniel F. Meas (d. October 10, 1997) and Lucy A. Kramer Meas (d. May 15, 1987). Growing up around the Quakertown area, he graduated from Quakertown High School. On April 1, 1983, Paul married his wife, the late Anna J. Arey Meas (d. May 28, 2021).

Throughout life, Paul would hold many jobs, including working at the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Factory in Mildred, PA, and Arrow United in Wyalusing, PA. When he was not working, you could find Paul outdoors, where he spent most of his time as an outdoorsman riding his UTV through the woods or hunting. Paul was a lifetime member of the NRA.

Everyone who knew Paul said he made them smile and laugh, with his quick wit and terrific sense of humor. He was great with kids. All the children in his life enjoyed being around him. His pets adored him. He always had a pet dog or two. He was an animal and bird lover, and was fascinated with owls. He loved spending time with his good friends and family, especially with Laura and Scott Manahan and their children and grandchildren, whom he treated like his own.

Along with Laura and Scott Manahan, he is survived by nieces Sharon Hoffmann and Rachel Longenbach; and great-niece and nephew, Abby and Matt. Besides his parents and his wife, Anna, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Daniel H. Meas (d. November 7, 2011) and Robert J. Meas (d. October 16, 2011).

A private graveside service will be held for Paul at the Wyalusing Borough Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
