Pearl Violet Wagner, age 82, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at The Gardens at Tunkhannock, where she had been residing for the last few years.
Pearl was born on November 5, 1934 in Allentown, PA the daughter of the late Leroy and Elsie Barlip. She was one of many children in the Barlip family. Pearl was a one-of-a-kind and a strong willed lady. She enjoyed all kinds of music, especially Barbara Streisand and Engelbert Humperdinck. Collecting "anything owl" was Pearl's hobby. She adored wearing her jewelry and watches. She enjoyed getting her hair done and her nails painted red, her favorite color. Being around Pearl was always a great time and it always involved a good laugh. In her younger years she enjoyed playing BINGO. Pearl loved her Pepsi but most of all she loved her family especially her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly and remembered fondly by her family and friends.
Pearl is survived by her children Richard Wagner and his wife Vicky of Meshoppen, PA; Diane Daurora and her husband Barry of Apollo, PA; Shirley Wood of Meshoppen, PA; and Donald Wagner Jr. and his wife Laurie of Waymart, PA. Also surviving are many grandchildren, one great-grandchild on the way as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at New Hope Ministries, West Auburn, PA with Pastor Tim Barnett of the church officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
