Penny June Gatto, age 55, of New Albany, PA passed away Wednesday night, October 15, 2014 with her family by her side.

Penny was born on June 3, 1959 the daughter of Erven and June Allen Crawford of New Albany, PA. She was a graduate of Wyalusing High School with the class of 1977.

She was employed with Proctor & Gamble in Mehoopany, PA as a Technician for 37 years. Penny attended the Independent Baptist Church in Towanda, PA. She enjoyed canning. She took great pleasure in travelling especially to her favorite spot, Newport, RI. But most of all she loved to spend time with her family.

Besides her parents Penny is survived by her loving husband Teddy Gatto, whom she married on August 27, 1994, her siblings Jeff Crawford and his wife Jan of Lawrenceville, PA and Gina Suessenbach and her husband Jim of New Albany, PA, her newphews Logan Crawford, Noah Crawford, Justin Griffith, and Joseph Suessenbach, her father and mother-in-law Theodore and Theresa of Old Forge, PA as well as many aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church St., Wyalusing, PA with Reverend Don Hauser of the Independent Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Crawford Family Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 until the time of the service.
