Reatha E. Robinson, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home on Golden Hill Sunday afternoon, November 27, 2022 with her loving granddaughter, Waynette Millard-Lant and grandson-in-law, James Lant by her side.

She was born in Sayre, PA on December 31, 1933, the daughter of the late Howard and Vera Woodruff Salsman.  Growing up in the Laceyville area, Reatha attended Laceyville High School and later gained employment as a seamstress, working for the Meshoppen and Black Walnut Dress Factories.

Reatha was a huge fan of country music, with her favorite artist being George Jones.  She also loved Western movies and was especially fond of the actor, Clint Walker, whose poster she proudly displayed in her home.  Reatha loved to go fishing, to go dancing, loved to sew and crochet, and was also an expert quilter.  She made sure all of her grandchildren and family members were kept warm by her quilts and also donated many to local organizations for charity raffles and benefits.

She is survived by her children, David Robinson (Sally), Rex Robinson (Janet), and Michael Robinson (Maria); her siblings, Marleen Rodriguez, Joanne Salsman, Linda Brown, Richard Salsman, and Jeff Salsman; as well as 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Reatha is preceded in death by her husband, Albert D. Robinson; her children, Crystal Robinson, Timothy Robinson, and Debra Robinson; her brothers, Romaine Salsman, Duane Salsman, Maynard Salsman, Lyle Salsman, Eldon Salsman, Edsell Salsman, and David Salsman; her granddaughter, Tonya Fenton; and her son-in-law, Ralph Fenton.

A Celebration of Life for Reatha and her son, David Randy Robinson will be held on Sunday, May 21 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at the Spring Hill Community Hall, 4225 Spring Hill Rd, Wyalusing, PA 18853. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM with Reverend Charles Bishop of the Transue Community Church officiating.
