Richard "Rick" John Parsons, age 56, of New Albany, PA passed away May 30, 2018 at home after a short battle with cancer. He was the husband of Danielle Cartwright Parsons. They were married July 7, 2007.

Rick was born on May 28, 1962 at the Towanda Memorial Hospital, the son of the late Donald (d. 1983) and Donna (Teeter) Parsons (d. 2013).

He was a graduate of Wyalusing High School with the class of 1980. After graduation he served his country in the US Navy. Rick was a self-employed contractor and worked numerous jobs. He enjoyed woodworking and the outdoors.

In addition to his wife, Danielle, he is survived by his step-son, Lance Corporal Justin Hunsinger of Cherry Point, NC; his brothers, Marc Teeter and his wife Pat of New Albany, PA, Dan Parsons of New Albany, PA, Bill Parsons of New Albany, PA and his twin brother, Ralph Parsons of New Port Richey, FL; his sister, Tracey Parsons of Athens, PA; his niece, Breanna Parsons; his nephews, Devon (Brandy) Teeter and Thomas James Parsons; as well as his in-laws Harry and Kathy Vanderpool of Towanda, PA and Carol Lord of Phelps, NY. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by and infant son, Dylan (d. 2004); his maternal grandparents, Frank and Rita Teeter; his paternal grandmother, Erma Porter; his paternal grandfather, Ralph Parsons; and his father-in-law, Thomas Cartwright.

There will be a private family burial at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Richard's name to the Guthrie Hospice, 421 Tomahawk Road, Towanda, PA 18848.
