Richard Stark, age 66, of Meshoppen, PA, passed away on Monday afternoon, September 19, 2022 peacefully in his home.

Richard was born in Plains, PA, on May 28, 1956, the son of the late Charles and Rose Gall Stark. Growing up in Plains, PA, he was a graduate of the Coughlin High School.

Since 2007, Richard was employed as a fork truck driver working for DHL, at the Procter and Gamble Paper Plant in Mehoopany, PA. Richard was to retire on Friday September 23, 2022.

Rick was an avid NASCAR fan, who often traveled the east coast with his family searching for the next race. He loved to hunt and was looking forward to this years upcoming hunting season so he could make his famous "Kielbasa" and brag about his monster buck. Rick and his wife Holly are active members of the community, helping out with the Meshoppen holiday fund. He loved traveling with his family, going on countless camping trips, and having a good time. Rick would give the shirt off of his back to anyone and wore his heart on his sleeve.

Rick is survived by his loving wife; Holly Stark, of Meshoppen, PA, his children; Lindsey Stark, of Meshoppen, PA, Randy Stark, of Beaufort, NC, Dustin (Eileen) Stark, of Wilkes Barre, PA, and Cody Swan, of California. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Autumn Snyder, Bryce Snyder, and Brynley Stark, his sisters; Anne (Doug) Konopelski, of Plains, PA,  Janilla (Robert) Gubbiotti, of Plains, PA and Pam (David) Parsnick, of Plains, PA, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Rose Marie Stark.

Funeral services will be held on Friday September 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM, from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 8206 SR6, Meshoppen, PA with Pastor Rodney Lee officiating. Interment will be in the Overfield Cemetery, in Meshoppen, PA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening, September 22, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
