Obituary
Robert A. Voda Sr., age 73, of Wyalusing, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at his home at Park Place Apartments in Wyalusing, where he had been residing for the last five years.
Bob was born on November 4, 1944 in Meshoppen, PA the son of the late Ambrose Voda, who passed away on March 7, 1984, and Elizabeth Tokasz Voda, who passed away on September 1, 1984. He was a graduate of Wyalusing Valley High School with the Class of 1964. Bob worked as a machinist at Bendix Corp in South Montrose for a number of years. He also worked for Masonite in Wysox, in local stone quarries, and as newspaper deliveryman for the Towanda Daily Review. Bob loved to go hunting and fishing. He participated in a bowling league at Mountain Side Lanes in Wyalusing, and he was also a great pool shooter.
He is survived by his three sons Robert A Voda Jr., of Rome, PA; Joseph Voda and his wife Londa of Tunkhannock, PA; David Voda of Dalton, PA; grandchildren Dustin Voda; Marissa Voda; Makayla Voda; and Peyton Voda. Also surviving are his brother Thomas Voda and wife Lynne of Laceyville, PA; brother Richard Voda and wife Linda of Laceyville, PA; sister Carol Owen and husband Woody of Laceyville, PA; sister Connie Blake and husband Randy of Towanda, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his life long companion Pat Loyack, who passed away on September 25, 2001.
A memorial service for Bob will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church Street, Wyalusing, PA with Reverend Charles Bishop of the Elk Lake and Transue Community Churches officiating. Interment will follow at Beaver Meadows Cemetery.
For any who may have a troubled heart just know that Robert accepted the news of the Gospel, John 3:16. And the light of the world, Lord Jesus Christ saved his soul. And that is available to whosoever wants to receive.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
