Robert F. Harper, age 86, of Laceyville, PA, passed away on early Thursday morning, January 26, 2023 at Memorial Skilled Nursing Unit, in Towanda, PA.

Born in Woodbury, NJ on December 1, 1936, he was the son of the late Arthur W. and Bessy Shaw Harper.  After graduating high school, Robert gained an apprenticeship at Dupont where he would eventually become a Stationary Engineer.  He would later work in the same position for Monsanto Chemical before retiring in 1996.

After retiring Robert and his wife, Roberta, moved to Susquehanna County and made it their home.  Here, Robert constructed his beloved pond where he and Roberta would spend countless hours enjoying the peaceful scenery and the wildlife that gathered there.   He also enjoyed many other outdoor activities including hunting and golfing.  While indoors, Robert was an excellent antique repairman and had a passion for building model railroads.  He was a member of the Spring Hill United Methodist Church, the Tri-County Sportsman's Club, and the NRA.

Along with his wife, Roberta is survived by his son Steven Harper of Laceyville, PA.

Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Robert Harper, Jr. and his sister, Miriam Harper.

A Memorial Service for Robert will be held on a later date at the convenience of his family.
