Robert (Bob) L. Sandor, age 68, of Sandor Road, Laceyville, PA passed away Friday morning, July 28, 2017 peacefully at his home.

Bob was born on July 13, 1949 in Beaver Meadows, PA the son of the late Michael Sandor and Ellen Slater Sandor of Towanda, PA. He was a graduate of the Wyalusing High School with the class of 1967.

He was employed with PennDot for 32 years before his retirement in 2005. Bob was dedicated to his job and loved working for PennDot. He was know as Bradford "56".

Bob was a member of the Rought Hall American Legion Post #510 in Black Walnut, PA and the Towanda V.F.W. Post #1568.

Bob will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Bob was a big man who was always large and in charge. He would say "It was either Bob's way or the highway," and anyone that ever worked for Bob knew it. In 1971 Bob survived a car accident on the Towanda Flats when an airplane hit his car, but it never slowed him down or stopped him from living a full life. After retirement he loved to go fishing with his wife, "Little Pigeon" on the St. Lawrence River in Clayton, NY. He was an avid hunter and loved to be in Sandor Valley, the place where he was most happy. Especially after his health declined Bob just wanted to be with his spouse, Beverly, and his beloved cat "Buggy".

Bob is survived by his wife, Beverly J. Sandor, whom he married on July 5, 1996; his daughters, Tina Parker and her husband Kade of Midway, TX, Tammy Sandoval and her husband Romeo of La Porte, TX, and Michelle Sandor and her fiancé Josh Coe of Towanda, PA; his step-children, Teresa Fulmer and her husband Brett of Wysox, PA, Anthony Bennett and his wife Kim of Wyalusing, PA, Kevin Johnson of Laceyville, PA, and Angela Oliver and her husband David of Towanda, PA; his mother Ellen Slater Sandor of Towanda, PA; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and their wives Ronald and Mary Sandor, Thomas and Kim Sandor, and Michael and Rhetha Sandor; his sisters Florence and Kenny Fasset, and Barbara Kay; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his father he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Thomas A. Johnson and many aunts and uncles.

There will be a memorial service for Bob at his and Beverly's house, 1925 Sandor Road, Laceyville, PA on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Bob's name to Guthrie Hospice, 421 Tomahawk Road, Towanda, PA 18848.
