Robert H. Sharer, age 52, of Mehoopany, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday morning, September 5, 2023 at The Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Born in Sayre, PA on August 4, 1971, he was the son of Robert L. Sharer of Laceyville, PA and the late Harriett Patton Sharer (d. June 25, 2012).  Growing up in the Laceyville area, Rob attended Laceyville Elementary School and Wyalusing Jr./Sr. High School.  While living on Indian Hill, he was active in the community and could often be found helping neighbors with various projects or chores.

Rob had a passion for working on vehicles, both professionally as a mechanic and as a hobby.  He also loved riding ATV's and especially motorcycles.  Rob also enjoyed music and was able to play the guitar and the drums.  He still enjoyed helping others in the community as an adult, serving our Veterans as well as their families and friends as a cook at the Rought Hall American Legion Post #510 in Black Walnut.

Along with his father, Rob is survived by his longtime companion, Lesley Adams Simmers of Mehoopany, PA; his sons, Creed Sharer of Mehoopany, PA and David Sharer of Hanover Twp., PA; his grandchildren, Brooklynne and Addison Sharer of Kingston, PA; his brother, Kris Sharer (Annette) of Taylor, PA, and his step-son, Cole Simmers.  Rob is also survived by his birth mother, Margaret Hardy of Jersey Shore, PA, his half-sister, Tracey White of Jersey Shore, PA; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Besides his mother, Rob is preceded in death by his son, Brandon Sharer.

A funeral service for Rob will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11:00 from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 459 Main St., Laceyville, PA 18623 with Reverend Mark King officiating.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
